American Forest & Paper Association The AF&PA is the national trade association for the pulp, paper, paperboard and wood products industries. American Forest Resource Council a merger of the Independent Forest Products Association (IFPA) and the Northwest Forestry Association (NFA). American Wood Council (AWC) provides an organizational structure for wood products companies and associations to work together. The AWC is affiliated with the American Forest & Paper Association. Douglas Timber Operators, a trade association located in Douglas County, Oregon. Evergreen Magazine is published periodically by the non-profit Evergreen Foundation. Incisively written, beautifully photographed and illustrated, the award-winning journal is the most widely read forestry magazine in the world. Forest Learn is an information site for Oregon's forest products workforce. It is brought to you by Project FLOW (Forestry Learning Opportunities for Workers), developed by Oregon State University's College of Forestry in partnership with the Oregon Forest Resources Institute. Forests Forever was established in 1990 as an independent, voluntary funded body to represent the views of all timber and wood using industries in the UK on environmental issues. Its aim is to help safeguard the forests of the world and Britain's future timber supplies and to promote wood as an environmentally friendly material. Green Spirit (Dr. Patrick Moore) Dr. Moore was a founder of Greenpeace, and is now a forest management activist. North American Wholesale Lumber Association (NAWLA) is an international trade association of over 650 leading forest and building products industry wholesalers, manufacturers and industry affiliated companies throughout the United States and Canada. Oregon Forest Industries Council was established in 1975 to represent the interests of Oregon's forest products companies and industrial landowners in the legislative, regulatory, and political arenas. OFIC serves as a central voice for Oregon's forest resource producing companies and communities. Oregon Fish & Wildlife Journal is a quarterly publication featuring articles on wildlife, recreation and industry, and how they can co-exist, demonstrating what is possible in land use and management if common sense is used by politicians and land managers. Oregon Forest Resources Institute was created in 1991 by the Oregon Legislature to improve public understanding of the State's forest resources. Oregonians in Action is a non-profit lobbying organization that leads the fight for land-use regulatory reform and protection for private property rights. Random Lengths publishes the most widely circulated report covering North America's wood products industry. Sustainable Forestry Initiative is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for maintaining, overseeing and improving a sustainable forestry certification program that is internationally recognized and among the largest in the world. The Temperate Forest Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit, public charity. Through public education, the Foundation helps people move toward the positive vision of living sustainably, with the successful integration of economic, ecological, and social needs. West Coast Lumber Inspection Board is one of six lumber grading rules writing agencies in the United States accredited by the American Lumber Standard Committee, Inc. which write and publish grading rules, and supervise lumber grading. The American Lumber Standard Committee, Inc. operates under Product Standard PS20-94 promulgated by the U.S. Dept. Of Commerce. Western Wood Products Association is a trade association representing softwood lumber manufacturers in the 12 Western states, from the Canadian border south to Mexico and from the West Coast to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
